The purpose of the Ormita Training Department Intern Program is to bring a diverse range of undergraduate and graduate college students into the Ormita Commerce Network in key professional areas and to expose them to the Ormita business model. Interns receive professional and personal development and assistance in charting a possible future within the Ormita business or elsewhere as they gain a range of skills in their area of interest. The Ormita Training Department manages the Intern program and interns will often be working with senior Ormita staff in helping to establish new Ormita offices, recruit employees and implement business systems and processes. Country assignments run for a period of 3 months. Should an intern seek a longer-term intern position then they will typically be able to travel and work with Ormita in more than one country. In addition to work assignments, interns are offered on-site training and also have the ability to develop their own training materials and courses and to prove their knowledge and skills to the business. Interns are provided with [paid] sight-seeing opportunities and, in some instances, one or more weeks off mid-internship with paid travel [back-packing style] to local sights in the country of placement.
